Master Bedroom
The workroom was inspired by the Hides Storeroom and Leather Working Room at the Petaluma Adobe. The primary economic activity of the rancho was rearing cattle for their hides. As it was difficult to preserve meat in the days before refrigeration, much of the meat was usually left to rot. The tallow from the fat of the cattle was also used to make candles, soap, and explosives.
